When Authorization Required for Disclosure of Nonpublic Personal Health Information
Prohibits licensed insurers from disclosing an individual’s nonpublic personal health information without that individual’s authorization. Identifies exceptions to this authorization requirement (e.g., pursuant to HIPAA regulations, for quality assurance and quality improvement activities, for utilization review, etc.).
