Requests for data
Authorizes the Health Care Data Committee (“Committee”) to request data from health carriers, state agencies that pay for health care, community health information networks, and health data clearinghouses (“data suppliers”). Requires the Committee to establish uniform formats for reported data. Identifies the types of data to be collected as HMO data, hospitalization data, health professional data, and nursing home data. Grants the Committee authority to collect other types of data if necessary. The Committee must collect data at least once per year, but may not request data more frequently than on a quarterly basis.
