Reporting by hospitals, laboratories, and institutions,
Requires health care facilities and institutions, upon diagnosing or suspecting a person to have a communicable disease, to report the incidence to the Department of Health. Permits a designee to submit the report on behalf of the facility or institution. Requires facilities and institutions to report Category I diseases immediately and Category II diseases within three days. Clarifies that a physician fulfilling their reporting requirement does not satisfy the facility’s or institution’s reporting obligations.
