Records Confidential
Classifies records maintained by facilities that provide substance use disorder treatment as confidential and privileged. Permits the disclosure of patient records for research purposes so long as the research is not published in a manner that could identify patients. Permits disclosure of patient records to other providers in the event of a medical emergency or for care coordination purposes.
