Provision of Any Records or Information on a Medicaid Beneficiary by the Department of Social Services - Mo. Rev. Stat. §208.217

The Department of Social Services may enter into a contract with an insurance company or health maintenance organization, where the entity may provide any records or information on a Medicaid beneficiary.  The information that is required to be provided must include information or data on insurance claims that could be otherwise covered by Missouri’s Medicaid program.  A data match request must be made by the Department, and all information that is transmitted, must comport with federal HIPAA standards on privacy and confidentiality.
