Prospective Drug Use Review
 
Requires pharmacists to conduct a prospective drug use review before dispensing an ordered medication. Requires pharmacists that identify an issue (e.g., contraindication, incorrect dosage, etc.) during this review to try to resolve the issue. Permits pharmacists to talk with the prescribing practitioner if necessary. Requires pharmacists to document any actions they take to resolve the issue.
