“Misconduct under the Governing Board of Physical Therapists regulations”

A physical therapist is guilty of misconduct if he:

  • Provides inaccurate information to the governing board of physical therapists during the professional licensing process;
  • Is convicted of a criminal offense;
  • Fails to report to the governing board of physical therapists of a conviction within 30 days;
  • Violates ethical standards governing the professions;
  • Faces disciplinary action by a regulatory authority in another state or country; or
  • Fails to safeguard individuals from incompetent health care practitioners.
