“Fraud detection and investigation under the Division of Human Services regulations”
If the Department of Health and Human Services receives a complaint of Medicaid fraud or abuse, it must conduct a preliminary investigation and refer it for a full investigation to the appropriate agency where potential fraud has been detected as a result of the preliminary investigation.
