Medical Records

Nevada hospitals must maintain confidential medical records for all patients “evaluated or treated” by the hospital. Medical records must include information regarding a patient’s diagnosis, treatment progress, and hospitalization. Hospitals must maintain the records for at least five years unless the hospital’s medical staff specifies that a record should be maintained for ten years.
