Medical records
Requires home health agencies to maintain client medical records that include documentation that the client’s attending physician authorized a service and that the service was performed. Requires home health agencies to make the records available upon request to the Department of Social Services, the federal Department of Health and Human Services, or the Medicaid fraud control unit. Requires agencies to retain records for at least six years.
