The Department of Community Health should maintain an inventory of health care resources, which should be usable by the general public and become public record be coordinated with other information that the Department collects.  The statute states that a health care resource is any resource that provides or facilitates services for the prevention, detection, diagnosis or treatment of any physical or mental condition that occurs due to disease or injury.  In performing these duties, the Department can contract with federal or state agencies, but must ensure that the information obtained from those sources is reasonably accurate.  The Department must publish reports and analyses regarding the distribution and nature of health care resources within the state.
