The Department of Public Health must establish a registry to record cases of malignant disease and benign brain related tumors to conduct epidemiological research and evaluate preventative and control measures.  The Department must maintain a complete record of all the reports it receives and ensure that the reports remain confidential.  The reports may be released upon written request to the patient, his or her parents (if a minor) or legal guardian.  The Department many also release the reports to an individual to conduct research, but the studies must de-identify the patient.
