Laboratory services
Permits ambulatory surgery centers to conduct lab exams as necessary to diagnose and treat patients either in the facility or by arrangement. Requires lab services to be overseen by a qualified director or performed by a CLIA certified lab. Requires facilities to include the original lab report in a patient’s medical record.
