Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-6825, use and disclosure of protected health information

Permits covered entities to disclose protected health information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAA. Specifies the circumstances in which covered entities may disclose PHI without authorization (e.g., pursuant to a participation agreement with an approved health information organization). Grants immunity to covered entities for any liability that arises from disclosing PHI so long as they comply with this section.
