Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-6003, Investigation of cases of AIDS or HIV infection

Requires the Secretary of Health and Environment to investigate and monitor reported HIV/AIDS cases. Authorizes the Secretary to establish regulations as necessary to prevent and control HIV/AIDS. Requires the Secretary to establish regulations regarding the confidentiality of HIV/AIDS information that are at least as strict as CDC guidelines. Prohibits disclosures of HIV/AIDS information unless disclosure is necessary for the Secretary to carry out their prevention and control duties or disclosure is authorized by K.S.A § 65-6002. Authorizes the Secretary to enter into agreements with local health boards to carry out HIV/AIDS control and prevention activities. Requires these local entities to comply with confidentiality requirements.
