Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-118, Reporting to local health authority as to infectious or contagious diseases

Identifies the persons required to report known or suspected cases of infectious or contagious diseases (e.g., physicians, health care facility administrators, teachers, etc.) to the Department of Health and Environment. Requires certified laboratories to report infectious or contagious disease test results to the Department. Grants persons who report information in good faith immunity from liability that might arise out of their reporting. Classifies reported information as confidential, but specifies when such information may be disclosed (e.g., with the written consent of identified persons, during a medical emergency, etc.). Permits disclosure of non-identifying information for statistical purposes.
