Requires medical information regarding enrollees to be held as confidential. Permits disclosure only in accordance with the Article 32 laws regulating Health Maintenance Organizations and Medicare Provider Organizations, with the covered person’s consent, or as otherwise authorized by law. Clarifies that uses in accordance with Article 32 require consent. Requires HMOs to send a former enrollee’s medical information to other providers if the former enrollee requests such action.
