Governing body 
Identifies the responsibilities of a home health agency’s governing body (e.g., assuring patient safety, complying with all applicable laws, etc.). Requires the governing body to develop policies and procedures for ensuring the maintenance and confidentiality of clinical records. Specifies the elements that the governing body must include in contracts or agreements with other agencies or individuals not under the home health agency’s employ. Includes provisions regarding patient records and the sharing of plan of care data in these elements.
