Organizations rendering patient care authorized to provide information for research purposes; freedom from liability; use and purposes of information; confidentiality

Disclosures of substance abuse treatment information without consent are permitted pursuant to this statute, which allows disclosure for research purposes, specifically for studies seeking to reduce rates of disease and death, provided that the patient identity remains confidential.
