Establishment and Duties of the Office of Rural Health - Mo. Rev. Stat. §192.604

The state has established the Office of Rural Health within the Department of Health and Senior Services to serve as a central source of information in coordinating rural health care services in Missouri.  The Office of Rural Health is to educate consumers and providers on quality and cost effectiveness of health care services, promote innovations in health care delivery in rural areas, disseminate information and provide technical assistance to rural communities, and provide reports on the Office’s activities.
