“Disciplinary action; duty to report; immunity; proceedings; board action”
 
The board of respiratory care examiners (“board”) may access reports and records maintained by hospitals, clinics, health care institutions, public or private agencies, and physician offices when investigating a respiratory care practitioner’s unprofessional conduct or fitness to practice.
 
Patient records, information related to a patient’s diagnosis or treatment, information that could identify a patient or their family, and information maintained by the board are confidential may not be released to the public.
