“Covered health and medical services; modifications; related delivery of service requirements; definition”

Arizona health care cost containment system (AHCCCS) contractors must provide certain medically necessary health and medical services (e.g., inpatient hospital services, medications, lab and x-ray services, etc.). The director of the AHCCCS must establish rules regarding the scope and limitation of AHCCS services. These rules must address care coordination and include requirements regarding patient transfer, medical records transfer, and initiating medical care.
