Cost reporting - 55 Pa. Code § 1187.71

Nursing facilities must report costs to the medical assistance program by filing an acceptable MA-11 with the department of welfare, which includes the following costs:

  •         Resident care costs, including nursing, practitioners, supplies and services;
  •         Resident related costs, including costs associated with food, housekeeping and laundry;
  •         Administrative costs; and
  •         Capital costs.

The nursing facility must maintain adequate financial records and statistical data for proper determination of costs under the medical assistance programs.
