Confidentiality

Classifies disease reports obtained or maintained by the Department of Public Health that include identifying information about an individual as confidential and prohibits their disclosure. Provides confidentiality protection for business names that are identified in Department reports or investigations, but permits disclosure of the business name if public health officials believe it is necessary to protect the public. Provides exceptions to the disclosure prohibition for disclosures that are necessary for the Department to perform their duties, conduct investigations, enforce orders, or create a quarantine or isolation order. Clarifies that the disclosure of HIV/AIDS records is not permitted in these circumstances.
