“Colocators; collaborating outpatient treatment centers; requirements”

Arizona requires colocators at collaborating outpatient treatment centers to identify common areas, designate certain personnel as shared nontreatment personnel, designate associated providers, and identify which center is responsible for maintaining the common areas and training/supervising shared nontreatment personnel. Colocators may maintain medical records in common areas so long as they comply with federal and state confidentiality laws. However, colocators must obtain a patient’s consent prior to accessing the patient’s medical record.
