	Medical records released to patient or designee on request--Expenses paid by patient--Violation as misdemeanor
	These requirements apply to all licensees of the healing arts. 
	A patient or his or her designee may submit a written request for a copy of the patient's medical records. Upon receipt of such request, a provider must provide copies of all available medical records, reports and X-rays pertinent to the health of the patient. The provider may require that the patient pay the actual reproduction and mailing expense prior to releasing the record.
