ONC's HIT Policy Committee Examines Possible Goals for Meaningful Use Stage 3

The HIT Policy Committee has started to explore possible goals of Meaningful Use Stage 3.  The Committee has laid out 6 possible goals, including:

1.  Improving quality of care and safety

2.  Engaging patients and families in their care

3.  Improving care coordination

4.  Improving population and public health

5.  Affordable care

6.  Reducing health disparities
