New Policy Brief on Health Information Exchange Released from Health Affairs and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Health Affairs and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation released a report looking at the state of health information exchange and interoperability.  The report provides a background of the requirements in the HITECH Act, including the different stages of meaningul use and timelines, and the federal government's efforts to achieving interoperability.  The brief also outlines implementation barriers to adoption of electronic health records.
