This law regulates the activities of persons engaged in the practice of chiropractic.  The law requires that a chiropractor be licensed and that s/he submit evidence of continuing education to renew the license when required.  The law makes the examining board responsible for determining whom to grant licenses to and sets forth certain minimum requirements, including requirements for the licensing examinations.  The law prohibits chiropractors from practicing under any other name than the one on the license, and prohibits them from recommending nutritional supplements unless they are specially certified to do so.  The law further prohibits chiropractors from delegating any non-administrative/adjunct tasks to other persons.  The law requires that chiropractors have professional liability insurance.

The law requires that a chiropractor create and maintain a patient record for every patient s/he examines or treats.  The record must be complete and maintained according to the rules proscribed by the examining board.  The law requires that chiropractors retain these records for at least 3 years after the last entry.
