Handling of Notifiable Disease Case Reports and Medical Information

All reports made for notifiable conditions and diseases that have patient identifying information must remain confidential.  Providers who know of a person with a notifiable condition (other than a sexually transmitted disease) cannot release identifying information except to those individuals responsible for protecting the health and well-being of the public through control of disease.
