“Filing and approval of policy forms and premiums under the banking and insurance law”
Every policy of health insurance offered by a nonprofit hospital, medical service corporation, health maintenance organization, or a managed care organization and changes in premium rates must be approved by the Green Mountain Care board. Every health insurer must obtain approval from the commissioner of financial regulation regarding a health insurance policy’s form, premium rates, and classification of risks.
