Revised Privacy Notices – Wis. Admin. Code Ins §25-20

An insurer may not disclose a consumer’s nonpublic personal financial information to a third party other than what is described in the initial privacy notice unless all of the following has occurred:

  • The insurer has provided the consumer a clear and conspicuous revised notice;
  • The insurer has provided the consumer a new opt-out form;
  • The insurer has given the consumer enough time to opt-out before disclosing the information to a third party; and
  • The consumer does not opt-out.
