Requirements for Disclosure of Medical Information Pertaining to HIV Patients – N.Y. Pub. Health Law § 2134

Medical information obtained pursuant to New York’s HIV laws may only be disclosed to the individual that is the subject matter of the information and the municipal health commissioner or district health officers. Information may also be disclosed to persons that have been in contact with an individual infected with HIV so long as the individual’s identity is not disclosed.
