Managed care organizations under contract with the department to provide, or arrange for the provision of, hospital services to Medicaid recipients must keep detailed records for each hospital with which it contracts about the following:
- The cost to the hospital of providing the services;
- Payments made by the organization to the hospital for the services;
- Utilization of hospital services by Medicaid recipients enrolled in the organization; and
- Other utilization data required by the department.
