Quality Assurance Program
Requires HMOs to establish a quality assurance program that includes specified elements (e.g., a written quality assurance plan, written goals and objectives, etc.). Requires HMOs to maintain confidential records of quality assurance activities and to implement a patient record system that facilitates care coordination and quality assessment. Requires HMOs to grant the Administrator access to clinical records when necessary to assess the HMOs compliance with the quality assurance requirements.
