OKLA. ADMIN. CODE § 310:667-19-14 - Retention and preservation of records under the Oklahoma State Department of Health regulations

Hospitals must retain medical records for 5 years beyond the date the patient was last seen or 3 years past a patient’s death. Records of minor patients must be retained 3 years past their 18th birthday.  Hospitals may preserve records via microfilm, optical disk or similar technology.
