Recording and Reporting Health Data
A health care provider must report to the State Commissioner of Health the death of a woman who has had an abortion and dies from any cause within 30 days of the abortion or an abortion related death of a woman within 90 days of the abortion. A physician who does not comply with the reporting requirements will be guilty of a misdemeanor.
