MINN. STAT. § 145.32 - Old records may be destroyed under the health law

Hospitals must retain medical records for 7 years. In the case of a minor patient, the hospital must retain the record for 7 years after the patient turns 18. A hospital may retain a medical record for longer than the periods established in this section.
