Under the Medicaid False Claims Act, a person may not knowingly make or seek to induce the making of a false statement or false representation of material regarding the conditions and operations of a hospital, skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility or home health agency.  A person who violates this section is guilty of a felony to be punishable by imprisonment for a maximum of 4 years or a maximum of fine of $30,000, or both.
