Kan. Stat. Ann. § 65-4a10, Performance of abortions

Requires the physician who prescribes mifepristone or any other prescription drug as a means of inducing an abortion to be in the same room as the patient when the drug is administered. Provides an exception to this requirement in the event of a medical emergency. Requires the physician to have the patient return within 12 to 18 days so they can assess whether the pregnancy was terminated. Requires physicians to document this follow up in the patient’s medical record.
