Information Reporting
Specifies the information that pharmacies that dispense controlled substances must report to the Pharmacy Board’s information program (e.g., patient identification, prescriber identification, drug dispensed, amount dispensed, etc.). Requires pharmacies to submit the information electronically in accordance with Board rules. Clarifies that this section does not apply to prescribing practitioners that dispense drugs to their own patients or to pharmacies that dispense drugs to patients in a long-term care facility, hospice facility, or hospital.
