Immunization of Children

Specifies the immunizations children must receive prior to enrolling in school (e.g., rubeola, pertussis, etc.). Exempts children from the immunization requirements if a health care provider attests that receipt of the immunization will harm the child’s health or wellbeing or the child’s parents or guardians attest to a religious conflict. Clarifies that the exemptions do not apply during an epidemic or emergency. Requires local boards of health to report the immunization status of children enrolled in school within 60 days of the first school day.
