“Statewide managed care ombudsman committee under the insurance law”

The Statewide Managed Care Ombudsman Committee is established within the Agency for Health Care Administration to act on behalf of all health care consumers receiving services through managed care programs in Florida. The committee has various responsibilities regarding the oversight of managed care including:

  • Receiving complaints regarding quality of care from the agency and assist the agency with the investigation and resolution of complaints; and
  • Reviewing managed care quality assurance programs of the agency.
