“Annual and quarterly reports under the Health Maintenance Organization Act”

Every health maintenance organization must annually and quarterly file a financial report with the Office of Insurance Regulation. A health maintenance organization that fails to file a report forfeits up to $1,000 for each day for the first 10 days and $2,000 for each day after the first 10 days during which the neglect continues. The Office of Insurance Regulation may notify the health maintenance organization that it may not enroll new members or do business in Florida until the report is filed. The Office of Insurance Regulation may not collect more than $100,000 for each report.
