“Refusal, revocation, or suspension of license; administrative fines and other disciplinary measures under the regulation of professions and occupations law”

The Board of Physical Therapy Practice may deny a license or impose disciplinary sanctions of a licensed physical therapist or physical therapy assistant for a variety of grounds including:

  • Treating patients by means other than physical therapy;
  • Failing to comply with prevailing standards of care;
  • Engaging in rebating, refunding of fees, or profit for patient referrals;
  • Having a license revoked or suspended in another state; and
  • Making or filing a false report.
