“Controlled substance prescribing under the regulation of processions and occupations law”
An addiction medicine specialist, pain medicine physician, or mental health addiction facility must maintain medical records for each patient. The medical records must document the presence of one or more medical conditions for the use of a controlled substance and include a written plan for assessing each patient’s risk for substance abuse.
