Commission on minority health – Ohio Admin. Code 3704-1-02

The purpose of the commission on minority health is to facilitate health promotion and disease prevention among minority groups by engaging in the following activities:

  • Provide grant funds to community-based health groups in order to facilitate the development of innovative, culturally sensitive educational materials and services for targeted, at-risk minority communities;
  • Limit the scope of funding consideration to chronic diseases and conditions which can be ameliorated by health promotion and disease prevention activities to assure the impact of grant dollars; and
  • Implement the recommendations of the governor’s task force on Black and minority health.
